Saturday, November 11, 2023, marked the annual remembrance of Veterans Day. On this day, we commemorate the heroism of those who served to defend our freedom.
     The internationally recognized symbol of the red poppy adorned the chests of members of the Special Operations Forces during the Run in Honor of War Veterans held in Bratislava. On this occasion, our colleagues ran a symbolic five kilometers with gratitude and remembrance for all war veterans. The twenty-three-member group set out on the route at 11:11, a moment that signifies the signing of the armistice ending World War I in 1918.
     The goal was not only to complete the route but also to express respect and gratitude to those who have allowed us to live in freedom.
